Follow West Washington St. under the freeway overpass. West Washington will become Belleau Wood. Belleau Wood leads you directly to MCRD San Diego Gate 5.
The MCRD is located next to San Diego International Airport. A cab ride from the airport to the Depot takes about ten minutes. The cost is about $10.00
The MCRD is 45 minutes south of MCB Camp Pendleton and 25 minutes southwest of MCAS Miramar. Do not go to Camp Pendleton for MCRD San Diego Graduation.
On Graduation days all visitor vehicles MUST enter through Gate #5 (Washington Street exit off l-5). Vehicle inspections and ID checks will take place. Drivers must show their drivers license, registration and proof of insurance. Changes in security levels may alter scheduled events.
All packages, handbags and luggage are subject to search prior to being admitted to the Depot. For quicker entry to MCRD, please keep those items at a minimum. Leave luggage and other bags at your hotel.
MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT ON THE DEPOT IS 20 MPH
Strollers and wheelchairs are not available
Proof of car insurance and registration is required to enter the Depot
Items such as knives, guns, etc. will be confiscated and NOT returned
Shuttles from hotels and motels MUST use Gate #5 ONLY
Shuttles will be inspected each time they enter the Depot
Be prepared to show a photo ID when entering the Depot. Keep your ID with you at all times
Occupants of vehicles attempting to enter MCRD must be restrained by his/her own seatbelt
Due to possible long lines at Gate #5, it is recommended that you arrive early each day

Drive south on Interstate 5. Take the Washington Street exit (The second southbound exit after I-8 exit). Once you exit, turn right onto Washington Street and continue straight ahead to the Guard Shack. FedEx delivery planes will be on your left.

Take I-5 North to the Washington Street exit. Washington St. will split into both West and East. Take Washington St. to the West. Don't go East. Go across the railroad tracks and under the freeway overpass. Head towards the airport air control tower. Now continue straight ahead to the Guard Shack. FedEx delivery planes will be on your left.

From Rosecrans Street in Point Loma, take Rosecrans Street to Lyton Street and go right. Lyton Street will become Barnett Avenue. Continue down Barnett Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway. Go right onto Pacific Coast Highway. Follow Pacific Coast Highway to Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and continue straight ahead to the Guard Shack. FedEx delivery planes will be on your left.
