Your Personal Financial Management Specialist at Marine and Family Services is here to help you and your family members (active duty, retired, DoD and NAF Civilian Personnel) learn more about basic financial management skills and to help you improve your level of Financial Fitness through personalized budgeting, goal setting, savings, investing, use of credit and debt, planning for major purchases, preparing for major financial challenges, risk coverage, tax planning, and retirement planning.

BROWN BAG LUNCH SEMINARS

In addition, your Financial Management Specialist provides you with a link to many local programs and to worldwide military, government and civilian agencies which can provide additional assistance or information. Among the special presentations offered by the office is the monthly "Brown Bag Luncheon Seminar" - a series of briefs that focus on a particular financial topic or theme, all designed to enlighten and educate. Check the Special Events Calendar for upcoming dates. Seating is limited, so please call to register.

PLANNING

The Financial Management Office serves as a central point to obtain financial education and assistance, and to have questions researched and answered regarding consumer issues, savings and investment issues, credit and debt issues, income tax preparation and planning, retirement issues and Veteran’s benefits.

THE PROGRAMS PURPOSE

The purpose of this education and assistance is to support and enrich the overall quality of your life, and the lives of your family members throughout each phase of your career, to include your retirement years, through planning and preparation. From the Marine Corps’ point of view, Individual Financial Fitness contributes to unit readiness just as strongly as Individual Physical Fitness does. Be Fit –Be Ready! All individual appointments are confidential!
