CAREER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT CENTER [ CRMC ]
The Career Resource Management Center (CRMC) provides information and assistance to help military service members, their family members, retirees, and DoD civilian employees with their job search. We provide a variety of resources such as a resource library, computer work stations, fax service and job listings. CRMC also provides basic employment assistance, career planning, resume writing, salary negotiations, interview techniques, guidance on the federal employment application process and other employment initiatives available for military spouses and family members. The services are free.
FAMILY MEMBER EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM [ FMEAP ]
Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP) provides assistance to Active Duty military family members (reservists, retirees, and civilians, if space is available) to help them achieve their personal and professional goals through employment, education, or volunteerism. FMEAP also acts as a force for retention as successful spouse employment assists in retaining the career Active Duty Service member.
MILITARY sPOUSE cAREER ADVANCEMENT ACCOUNTS (MyCAA)

Effective 25 October 2010 MyCAA program is open to all eligible spouses under the new guidelines below:
- Spouse of an active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine service member in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O2.
- Spouse of an activated Reserve member in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2.
- If the spouse of National Guard and/or AGR member, the sponsor must be on federal Title 10 active duty orders as reported in DEERS.
- Spouses of Guard/Reserve members in an Alert, Transition Assistance, or Post Deployment status are not eligible.
- MyCAA accounts will be limited to the new $4,000 maximum benefit with a $2000 fiscal year cap. Waivers to the fiscal year cap will be available for spouses pursuing licensure or credentials with a cost that exceeds the $2,000 fiscal year cap up to the total maximum assistance of $4,000.
- Spouses must finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course.
- Funding is limited to only Associate’s degrees, credentials and licensure programs.
- Please allow 14 days for approval of all financial assistance documents.
All spouses (even if you no longer qualify for the MyCAA program) that have had a MyCAA account can still access all your course information by logging-in into the MyCAA website. If information is needed on other sources of financial assistance please contact a Military OneSource consultant at 800-342-9647.

TRANSITION ASSISTANCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM [ TAMP ]

Transition assistance services prepare separating Marines and their families with the skills, tools, resources, and education necessary to make successful transition into the civilian workforce. TAMP is also intended to improve individual quality of life, enhance personal and family readiness, and return solid citizens to the civilian community. Once separating Marines are settled into their new civilian lives, it is expected that they will continue to support the USMC and further aid in its recruiting efforts.
PLEASE KNOW THAT
- Classes begins at 7:30 AM
- No appointment or duty scheduled during TAP week
- Dress is civilian attire [ Please refer to Marine Corps Depot Order 1020.25F ] for dress code
- Spouses are highly encourage to attend
- Bring signed copy of DD Form 2648 [ From your Unit Transition Counselor ]
- Bring original or copy of medical records on 3rd day of class for prescreening

VETERANS AFFAIRS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM [ VAAP ]
The Veterans Affairs Assistance Program (VAAP) starts when active duty service members are identified at the Naval Hospitals as a recipient of a Physical Evaluation Board (PEB). The Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) briefs the service member on the purpose and details of the VAAP. Each service member is informed of the program site and given instructions as to the procedures to become a member of a class.

VETERANS BENEFIT COUNSELING
VA Counseling on-site at Personal & Professional Development, Bldg. 14 for 2.5 days per week until further notice: Tuesday/Wednesday 0730-1600, Thursday 0730-1200. Come in and ask questions about your benefits and entitlements, VA Benefit Counselor can assist you with filing for pre-discharge disability claims and discuss educational benefits and medical concerns which can lead to filing a VA claim (reviews medical records) as well as VA Home Loan.

CAREER AND EDUCATION FAIR

Personal and Professional Development will host a Career and Education Fair on February 9, 2011 from 10:00 Am to 1:00 Pm at Semper Fit Fieldhouse Bldg 650, the event is free and open to military active duty and reserve, family members, military retirees, DoD Civilians, and other personnel with access to military installations.
