RECRUIT TRAINING REGIMENT FOR QUESTIONS ABOUT LEAVE AND LETTERS
Recruit Graduation Information:
Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri 0800-1600
Typical questions that Recruit Training Regiment (RTR) can answer are:
• How much leave time does he have?
• When does he need to be back? If nobody answers call SATO Travel.
• Can I send him a care package?
• What address do I use to send care packages to?
• I didn’t get a letter, why?
SENDING HIM LETTERS
During the first two weeks of recruit training, recruits will send home a letter stating they’ve made it to MCRD San Diego and will provide an address for which to receive mail. Use the format below when sending him letters:

1st BN, Alpha Co. PLT _ _ _ _ (Put his own battalion & company information here. Plus his platoon number.)
39001 Midway Avenue
San Diego, CA 92140 – ( platoon number )
If a message is required to notify a recruit of an emergency situation at any time during recruit training, please contact your local America Red Cross or please visit the American Red Cross Emergency Communication Services web page, to have an official message sent to MCRD San Diego. In order to process the message quickly, please provide the recruit’s name, social security number, company and platoon.

When you think you won’t have the right I.D. to get on the depot call the PMO. Also, If your with law enforcement and want to know about bringing your firearm on the depot, this is the number to call.
