Our qualified and experienced Prevention and Education Specialist will provide classes and Command briefs. Command briefs are scheduled on a quarterly basis, on a variety of topics. We provide classes and workshops at various locations, and we can bring the briefs to you.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION BRIEF – Designed to meet three objectives:

  • To inform active duty Marines and Sailors of the legal definitions of domestic abuse
  • To introduce the concept of Power and Control as primary cause of domestic abuse
  • To enhance victim safety

STRESS MANAGEMENT CLASS AND BRIEF – This important issue is addressed in both a class format as well as a brief. Both are designed to meet three objectives:

  • To identify stressors
  • Identify stress symptoms
  • Develop skills and stress management plans

ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS AND BRIEF – The class objective is to provide an introduction of what anger is and what it is not. Basic techniques on self-control and expression will be provided through lecture and class participation. Understand how to honor you’re feeling while respecting the dignity of others and help develop strategies to convert anger into a productive force. (Class is 8 sessions)

  • Gain an understanding of the meaning of anger
  • Examine constructive vs. destructive expressions of anger
  • Learn techniques for managing anger

CONFLICT RESOLUTION CLASS – The class will provide information through lecture and class involvement including skills on communicating and resolving conflict effectively. The approach is to help maintain self-respect and build stronger individuals both on the job and in personal relationships.


  • Learn positive methods for child rearing
  • Find ways to address specific behaviors
  • Learn strategies to build parenting skills
